The NFT is a not-for-profit organisation. We rely on membership subscriptions, legacies, grants and donations to fund our work.
Why would you give land or farm to the National Farmland Trust?
To see it protected, to retain it for your family, so your life's work is not destroyed for building, so that your family's legacy continues to survive long after your gone, because you want to see it improved or returned to its former state of repair, because farmland is for growing food, open spaces for our wildlife, to provide habitat for our native wildlife or plant species, to give other family's the chance to grow up as you did, whatever the reason, talk to us, let us help find a solution to your heritage, let us help you retain your land or farm for future generations, for food production, for wildlife for our farming history.

For instance, dry stone walling was built over a bridge, to replace barbed wire, to stop stock falling into deep ditches, hedges and trees have been planted along fence lines and access roads and tracks have been improved giving trust visitors better access, buildings have been repaired and improved for farm use.
